Went up to Saranac Lake on Saturday for the annual winter carnival parade. It was crazy — crazy good. Standing in the below freezing cold for two hours, jostling for position amongst teenagers with temporarily dyed hair, guys who would be in a fraternity if they were actually in college, and oblivious parents using their kids as blockers to get in front of people; yep, crazy good. In a way.

Overall: amazing, fun, amazing. There was also an ice castle (which I’m kind of disappointed I didn’t see at night when it’s lit up), lumberjack games, and the town is cute. We got some hot dogs, too; if you’re there and the stand is up, get a Michigan.
